AYC 7th EC Meeting:

AYC- Bangladesh has successfully organized the 7th Executive Committee meeting at Hotel Eastern Residence in Dhaka, Bangladesh in early February, 2006. A total of 15 members participated in the meeting which was chaired by Rev. Mitsuo Miyake, President of AYC.
Mr Sukumar David, Secretary General and Executive committee members from the various chapters attended. OB member Mr. M. H. Zaman attended as a special invitee.

NGO Dialogue Meeting:

AYC Bangladesh organized a meeting of the Executive Committee members of AYC and members of various NGOs of Bangladesh at Hotel Eastern Residence, Dhaka, Bangladesh immediately after the Executive Committee meeting. Around 15 participants representing 5 national NGOs of Bangladesh were present at the meeting Mr.Feroze Ahmed of AYC-Bangladesh

conducted the dialogue meeting. The main theme of the meeting was “How to improve equality amongst Asian Youth”.
Miyake Home Bangladesh Visit: On February 10th, Rev. Mitsuo Miyake visited the Buddhist Monastery at Kamlapur Buddha Bihar where he met with Buddhist chief Mr. Shudananda Mohathero. Rev. Miyake paid tribute to Miyake Home and visited the Miyake library established by Late Rev. Toshio Miyake in 1987. About 300 Buddhist children extended a warm welcome to Rev. Mitsuo Miyake on his arrival at the Buddhist Monastery.
Child Literacy School:
As an on going project AYC Bangladesh continues its child literacy program at Bangabandhu Primary school at Mohammadpur, Dhaka, where 35 school children get support for their education.
