The 10th AYC – EC meeting started off with a welcome from Mr. Sanjeev to all the EC members and observers.
AYC President Rev Mitsuo Miyake welcomed all the members and declared open the 10th AYC - EC meeting and expressed that looking forward for the respective chapter’s activity report presentations.
Sanjeev further expressed that this is a very significant meet as AYC has successfully completed 25 years of youth movement with increased scaling up in our outreach. Due to the absence of Mr Sukumar David AYC - Secretary General Mr. Sanjeev has read out the Secretary Generals Report.
The first chapter report was presented by AYC Thailand by Mr. Phuriwat Kosolkitiwong. The focus was more on enabling youth leadership & their responsibilities..
Followed by AYC Srilanka Chapter Report by Mr. Kamal Perera. Late Mr Kingsley Rodrigo was remembered for his tireless efforts in shaping a significant youth movement in Srilanka and in Asia. The focus has been on the vulnerable women & children upholding of their rights, and promotion of peace in the region. The recent Tsunami and the relief operations taken up by AYC was a timely act.
AYC Pakistan Chapter Presentation by Mr. Shahid Chowdhary, at the very outset congratulated AYC for the successful completion of 25 years, as Pakistan AYC was participating for the first time. Thanked all the members for the opportunity given and the support for the relief for the Earthquake victims
President Rev Mitsuo Miyake: expressed regret that there is no any correspondence and reporting from AYC Pakistan, insisted that henceforth regular reports to be submitted to Hyderabad Headquarters.
Mr. Sanjeev expressed concern over the gaps in communication if so requested all the members to give their email ids if changed
AYC - Nepal Chapter Presentation by Renu Nepal undergoing a tremendous pressure due to their internal governance issues resulting to focus on strengthening democracy for peace, education and Livelihood. Played an important role in evolving on a viable National youth Policy.
Active Youth participation in the Nepal Elections under Nepal election observation committee (NEOC) Mr. Shanta Lall Mulmi is an elective member of NEOC
AYC Mumbai Report by Rajya lakshmi
A brief skit was presented by the Mumbai members about Mahatma Gandhi as part of International Non Violence. Further focused on Health & Hygiene and the environment protection and promotion
AYC Kolkata Report, by Krishnanadu the activities focus was on educational Exposure for students, Woolen Garments and Blankets Distribution for the poor & the needy, Medical Camp for the Visually Handicapped: Sponsoring an orphan boy Rural Sports for Children: Sports meet for the Ladies and Senior Citizens: Support Education: Safe drinking water for the rural people:
Followed by AYC Bangla Desh & Hyderabad presented the reports

The next important agenda was the ratification of Indonesia AYC chapter which was unanimously done with approval from the President. Due to the recent Tsunami in Indonesia collected donations from all the members present & handed over US$ 82 to Ms. Yuli AYC Indonesia Chapter for immediate relief work.
Rev Mitsuo Miyake’s Concluding speech the need for reviving WAC is a priority for which the 3rd AYC OB Meeting has unanimously resolved and decided to abolish OB meetings and the same members will become part of WAC governance for which Rev Mitsuo Miyake has been nominated as President WAC and Mr. Kozai as Secretary general WAC and others become the members speech:
Ms. Arundhathi & Mr. Shantalal appreciated the move and the motion for reviving the WAC and congratulated Rev Mitsuo Miyake for taking the lead responsibility of President - WAC.
Rev Miyake: 25 years ago WAC started AYC. Now AYC has grown and it should support to revive & strengthen the WAC.
Regarding resources for WAC as of now we need to contribute ourselves, and raise our resources in the future.
The next AYC - EC meeting is proposed to be held in Mumbai on the 20th October 2010 at Hotel Pretam Mumbai
